About PayOdin

A platform built on one principle: someone is with you the whole way.

PayOdin is a freelancer payment platform operated by Workodin LLC, a registered Delaware LLC. We exist because the alternative — platforms that approve you automatically, hand you a login, and leave you to figure it out — wasn't good enough for the freelancers we were watching struggle.

What PayOdin is
A Merchant of Record — your client pays us, we pay you. A registered US company is on every invoice.
A full-journey platform: proposal, agreement, invoice, human review, payment — in one place.
Built for any international freelancer who bills foreign clients without a registered company.
Selective: every account is manually approved. We actually look at who's joining.

Why We Built This

Most freelancer platforms enter at the invoice. They give you a form to fill in, send it to your client, and take their cut. What they don't do is look at your invoice before it goes out. They don't check if you've filled it in correctly, priced the project right, or used the right currency.

They don't look at all.

Fatima is a product designer based in Casablanca. In 2024, she landed her first serious EU client — a design agency in Berlin paying €3,000 for a branding project. She filled out her invoice through the platform she was using, sent it, and waited. Four days later, the client's finance team wrote back: "We need a proper company invoice with VAT notation." Fatima didn't have a registered company. She didn't know what reverse charge VAT was. The platform she was using had no answer for her.

She lost two weeks, several follow-up emails, and the confidence that comes from knowing your process works.

That gap is why PayOdin exists. Not the technology gap. The human gap.

What Makes PayOdin Different

We're On Every Invoice

When a freelancer uses PayOdin, their client doesn't pay them directly. The client pays PayOdin — a registered Delaware LLC. PayOdin is the named entity on the invoice.

This matters for three reasons: your client's finance team receives a proper corporate invoice they can expense; you don't need your own registered business to send a legally valid invoice; and your client has accountability, not just a trust promise.

A Real Person Reviews Every Invoice

Before your invoice reaches your client, a PayOdin team member looks at it. Wrong currency? Caught. Missing fields? Caught. Incorrect amount, formatting error, missing reverse charge notation? Caught — before they see it.

This is not automated. This is a person looking at your work and making sure it's right before it becomes a problem.

We Cover the Full Journey

PayOdin can start at the proposal — before the first invoice exists. If you have a new client, you can create a proposal, convert it to a formal agreement, and then raise your invoice. If you're already mid-project, you can join at the invoice stage. Either way, every invoice goes through a human review before your client sees it. Our platform covers the full journey: proposal, agreement, invoice, human review, client payment, and your payout.

Who We're For

PayOdin is for independent professionals who bill foreign clients and need a registered entity on their invoices — without incorporating. If you do knowledge work and get paid by clients in the US or EU, PayOdin is built for you. Where you are in the world is not a factor in whether you qualify.

We manually approve every account, because we're only willing to operate at the level of quality we can actually maintain.

The Odin Ecosystem

PayOdin is part of a broader ecosystem called Odin, operated by Workodin LLC. The ecosystem currently has two products: PayOdin handles money (proposals, contracts, invoices, payment collection, and payouts); Odinify handles presence (a portfolio platform for identity-verified freelancers only).

When a freelancer completes KYC on PayOdin, that same verified identity carries over to Odinify. A client who discovers a freelancer through Odinify and wants to hire them initiates payment through PayOdin. The trust established at the portfolio level flows directly into the payment process.

Our Pricing

4% per transaction, or $20 minimum — whichever is higher. No monthly subscription. No setup fee. No hidden conversion markup. The fee is taken when a payment is processed. If you don't process any payments, you owe nothing.

Whether that's worth 4% depends on your clients and your situation. For freelancers billing corporate US and EU clients who expect proper documentation, it usually is.

If You're a Client

When you receive an invoice from PayOdin, you're paying a registered Delaware LLC — not an individual. The invoice is from a real, auditable company. You can expense it through standard vendor processes. The freelancer you hired has been identity-verified by our team. If you have questions about an invoice, a real person responds.
